Monthly Special January 2007; Interview model Silvia Lee

Rowald: When did you start modelling? And what made you decide to pursue it?
Silvia: I was discovered by a local photographer- CAN~!!. During those first shoots, I've realized how much I actually enjoyed being in front of the camera. Nobody telling me that I am too skinny, too "edgy"? or made fun of my "bunny teeth"? I just love the satisfaction of how the photos always come out extraordinary.
Rowald: Did you take any classes for modeling or acting?
Silvia: No, not really … it just all sorta came naturally.
Rowald: Does a shoot make you nervous?
Silvia: No, not anymore. At some of my first shoots, we would shoot in the business area with people walking around and staring at me … that was sorta awkward. I still remember this one time, this business guy put his suit case on the floor-sat on his suit case and watched! My photographer got so mad, he screamed at him, and he picked up his suit case and ran away!! =P

Rowald: What category of photos do you do?
Silvia: Catalog, Commercial, Editorial, Fashion, Lifestyle, Print, Promotion, Spokesmodel and Tradeshows.
Rowald: What do you think about when you pose for a camera?
Silvia: Whatever the theme and look the photographer and I are trying to achieve.
Rowald: What do you think about your look?
Silvia: I have the young, little innocent next door sorta look, but most of the time, I try to step outside the box and do some shoots that are outta the ordinary.
Rowald: I guess you do not do modeling full time. What else do you do?
Silvia: I go to college full time, and also I work full time at Trader Joe's. I am a busy little bunny~ *giggle*
Rowald: What's your experience been like so far? How has the industry treated you so far?
Silvia: I loved every minute of modeling! I love the attention and the adrenaline I get from it. Everybody in the import scene are pretty nice and respectful. The models are so all so sweet~ however every once in a while some photographers would ask for more than I am comfortable with … I really don't appreciate that. =(
Rowald: What type of reaction do you get when you go out?
Silvia: When I am not modeling, I am pretty casual~ I don't really dress up, I try to blend in with the crowds and not really stick out~~
Rowald: Have you been disrespected by men because of modeling?
Silvia: Fans at shows are really respectful, they wouldn't do anything that would upset me~ But some photographers are always asking for more~
Rowald: Do you find that men are afraid to approach you?
Silvia: NO~ Not at all, actually 99% of my friends are guys~ I love chilling with guys, it is just so much more relaxed.
Rowald: What are the worst assumptions people make about models?
Silvia: Most people think that models are dumb, I don't think so at all. Some of the models I know are pursuing nursing degress and are in bio-chem majors~~
Rowald: What is your favorite type of clothing or accessories to shop for?
Silvia: Lingeries!! I have so much lingerie that my boyfriend would complain about them~ Especially underwears! OH boy, every time I go shopping, I always end up getting underwears! They are just too cute to miss!
Rowald: What do you feel is your sexiest feature?
Silvia: My waist line~ My waist is extraordinarily small. I have a 22'' waist, many guys can wrap their hands around my waist! It is crazy!
Rowald: Do you have any favorite color you like to wear?
Silvia: Black and pink~ It wouldn't matter what shade of pink~
Rowald: If you wanted to do something nice for your man what would you do?
Silvia: I would prepare a fancy meal for him.
Rowald: Do you have favorite food?
Silvia: I love chocolate cheese cakes! They are too hard to resist! Sweet, creamy, smooth and chocolaty! Yum!!
Rowald: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Silvia: If everything goes right … I would finally have moved out, and started pharmacy school~
Rowald: Where are you from?
Silvia: I grew up in Hong Kong, I moved to sunny California when I was 12.
Rowald: Any memories about Hong Kong?
Silvia: I really miss the nightlife and the gourmet foods at Hong Kong! You can go out @ 10pm and go eat anywhere u want, that is so amazing!!
Rowald: Do you speak any other languages?
Silvia: Cantonese, English, Mandarin, French.
Rowald: Wow.
Rowald: Are you in a relationship?
Silvia: Yes, I've actually been with my man for nearly 4 years now! =)
Rowald: What's your favorite body part on a man?
Silvia: The limbs, I don't know why, but the arms and legs on guys are just so masculine!
Rowald: You mentioned you draw cartoons, design clothes and take pictures? Tell us about these talents.
Silvia: Um, I actually work at Trader Joe's as a sign artist. I love drawing and designing stuff; and when I first started modeling, I would picture the theme and outfits for my shoots, and I would simply sketch them down. I am not that good with drawing real life figures, so I always draw a little cartoon/anime version of myself. It is just easier for me.

Silvia: I like like to thank modelgraphy for having me as a featured model! Rowald, you are so awesome! Also I would like to thank my boyfriend for being supportive all the time and bringing me to all the shoots and shows! I don't know how I would be able to be where I am without him! *Muahz*
